The UV index is the measure of the amount of UV energy that reaches your skin in a given amount of time, so if you’re doing it for two weeks a year, you might be getting about 4 UV rays. If you’re doing it for two weeks a year you might be getting about 8 UV rays.
In reality, the sun is a great source of UV rays, and is actually what drives all the skin cancers. A lot of the UV rays hitting our skin cause free radicals to get “produced”, which can cause skin cancer. The sun is what makes our skin glow, it’s what gets our hair turning brown, and it’s what keeps our skin looking good.
