sports that start with at
We are athletes who like to do things a certain way, and we don’t like to change our minds too often. I know sports fans tend to gravitate toward sports that start with at, but that wasn’t the case with me. I played on teams, leagues, and leagues that started with at. I also played in the youth leagues at one point, as I was still a kid. These were my favorite leagues, along with the ones that started with at.
At was one of the first sports to start with at. I was a fan of the Oakland A’s and the San Diego Sockers for example. The San Diego Sockers started with at the Oakland A’s, and I played for the Oakland A’s from ’77 to ’79. If you dont know who the Oakland A’s are, they are the most storied and successful baseball franchise of all time.
In 1977, the Oakland As had a losing record and they were trying to rebuild. The San Diego Sockers were owned by the Sockers, who had a contract to play in the Oakland As for two years. The Sockers were on the Oakland As for only one year. San Diego Sockers owner, Pete Walker, had a contract to play for the San Diego Sockers for another year.
The As had a new ownership group in 1977 so they had to re-sign their contract to play in Oakland so they took the As’ contract to San Diego. They played for San Diego for only one year, playing in Oakland, and were the Oakland As for a mere two years.
The Oakland As were a professional baseball team located in Oakland, California. They played in the Oakland Baseball League from 1977 to 1981. The Oakland As played in the Oakland-Alameda League from 1982 to 1985.
The Oakland As played in the Western League in 1982 and they had a great record of winning 9 straight pennants. Their average record was 30–6. The As could not have a better record if they did not have those pennants in their pocket. This was because the league was so competitive and so many teams had to sign up for the first half of the season. After the first half, teams would be too busy getting all their bills paid to play.
I used to hate watching the Oakland As play. The last time I did was during one of the last games they played at the Coliseum before they moved to the Coliseum. The field had a lot of grass, and there was lots of turf. The game was played on the field on a Wednesday night, with the As playing on a grassed oval, and the Golden Grizzlies playing on an oval field. I used to hate to see them play. Now I can’t not.
We’ll get to the Oakland As in a sec, but this is actually the game I liked best. The Golden Grizzlies are a team I’ve been watching since the summer of 2007, and they were pretty good. They won the WNBA Championship in 2008, and made it to the WNBA Finals in 2009.
Okay, so this is a team I’ve been watching since 2007 (and this is the Oakland As). The Golden Grizzlies were pretty good. They won the WNBA Championship in 2008, and made it to the WNBA Finals in 2009.
This is the best team Ive seen since 2007, and they still have a ways to go before they get to be competitive with anyone. They have a lot of talented players in the current draft, but it will almost be a case of the stars not really being stars for the Grizzlies. They don’t have the size or the skill they once did and they’re still a team with a real chance to go far in the Western Conference.
